Hi

hope someone can help it appears that javascript is off in my copy of IE7 despite it being turned on in options.

Simply on on my local machine I see no menu bars but from any other system I do. Bit difficult when you are testing a site!!

If I type <body onload="alert('howdy');"> into a web page and view then I see the message howdy which I assumed meant java was working.

has anyone any ideas

thanks

Ian

If it's just that one site that's not working, then chances are it's not you that has JavaScript turned off.

Do you have any ad blockers or 3rd-party tools (internet security software, etc) that could be blocking some JavaScript? Does the site work for you in other browsers?

If it's your site, my advice is to not use JavaScript to write out the nav (you've seen why). If it's not, then I'd give up on it and take your custom to a site that works properly without JavaScript.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Hi

thanks for that, if I use another pc then IE7 shows the site perfectly it's only on my development machine so perhaps I have a corrupt installation of IE7

cheers
