Javascript drag & drop yahoo email like?

Does anyone know how to do drag and drop an item (image, text, etc) the same way as yahoo email does (kind of like an MS Outlook)?

It looks to me that instead of dragging the actual item, yahoo email fires up a draggable div and copy the source text to the draggable div content.

My problem is I can show the div but when I try to drag the item, it gives me the "not" allowed sign and the div won't moved.

Do you know how to go about moving the focus from the source item to the draggable div while the mouse is downed and being moved?

I actually had a look at it the same way as I had seen aculo.us javascript library.

Drag and drop per se is not my problem. My question centered on the way yahoo email drag-drop the email list (aka outlook).

I am just wondering if anyone in the group had yahoo email beta installed and have seen how it works.

Most drag and drop lift-off the source item. Perhaps I like what yahoo emails does that instead of lifting off the source item, it just shows instead a draggable div or something.
