Java2 Platform makes my browser crash

I don't know why...this issue hasn't happened before...but after uninstalling all kinds of programs...it boiled down to this...Java..If I where to close IE or Fire Fox it freezes up my computer and makes it crash...shutsdown...only if i uninstall it the issue goes away...

Any suggestions please.

Not sure... but somewhere between the 23rd May 2005 and the 7th August 2005, the " in your signature got corrupted and turned into HTML character entities.

Uninstall Java, run IEFix, then run System File Checker. Reistall Java & see what happens.

tried the fix and system file checker... i reinstalled java and my computer still crashes when i close Firefox or IE...
