Hi folks. I'm told by my application provider that I have to install Java SDK 1.4.2_05 to run their application. I've downloaded the necessary packages from the IBM website and installed them successfully. However, it appears from a java -version that it's only version 1.4.2. Can anyone advise how I might upgrade further to 1.4.2_05, whatever the latter means? As you might gather from the foregoing, Java is somewhat of a mystery to me - something I plan to put right at the earliest opportunity!

Just to update. It appears that the _05 suffix refers to the Solaris version information. Apparently, for the same release a java -fullversion on AIX 5.2 should report cal42-20040917. You live and learn!
