How does Crystal Reports integrate with JAVA applications?

If you mean, can you write a Java app in VisualAge or Visual Cafe and call Crystal, then the answer is no.

Does this mean a JAVA application can't integrate Crystal Reports? What about the Crystal Reports Java Viewer bean? Is this the way to use crystal reports from a JAVA appli?
