I purchased Crystal Reports 8.5 to use it with Java, but to my dismay have found only 1.5 pages of documentation. Postings on countless forums and emails to Seagate software have not been helpful. I want to access a .rpt file from an applet on my client side. I need some documentation on the same and examples....

It is complicated subject and you are right. The documentation is not much as in Visual Basic.

Hi Guys,
I also have the same problem of having to access Crystal Report from a java application.I downloaded the help file mentioned in the CR site but it does not contain significant help on Java(There is a mention of some ReportViewerBean but It was not in the package I downloaded.)
I found this i-net crystal clear stuff on the net which provides an API for accessing the CR from the java applicaion but sadly its not free.
Do let me know if you find any solutions.
thanks
