I have a program that makes extensive use of Apex's TrueDBGrid (ver 6) and minor use of Janus's Gridex (ver 1.6). I now have Janus Gridex 2000 and am giving serious thought to replacing my TrueDBGrids with Gridexs. The ability of Gridex to scroll rows as you use the scroll bar alone almost makes it worth it to me. I also prefer the Gridex property window, and it looks like it might be easier to create dropdowns at runtime, too. Can anyone out there tell me any horror stories about either grid? Am I crazy to want to do this? I'm especially interested in any problems you may have had with the Gridex.
On a related note, does anyone think it would be a good idea to start a forum where people can discuss the merits (or lack thereof) of 3rd party components? I know that when I'm in the market for a calendar control, or a scheduling component, or whatever, it would be nice to read about other people's experiences before committing to a product.
Thanks.
