JAI for other image file extention

hi experts,
Is there anyone of you guys know whether JAI or Java Image could deal with other image file's extention susch as (grs,ets, egs, tsd). In fact, I have no idea what kind of these files are. Hence, hopeflly couls get someone's help from here.

Initially, the JAI state clearly could read or write jpeg, png, pnm, bitmap...etc but never mention (grs,ets, egs, tsd). So, I'm quite confused from the document.

My intention is to read those image file in order to generate the thumbnail image.

I've never heard of those formats ... so I doubt JAI supports them. Try joining the JAI mailing list, and asking the guys there ...
