Jabra Pro headset and Avaya voip 1120e

I have hooked up the headset to the phone and changed the settings in the phone to allow a headset.
When I reboot the jabra base I hear tones in the headset but I don't get dial tone when trying to use the headset.
 
Change your switch setting, with the headset on, go off-hook and slide the switch setting until you hear dial tone. Normally it's A, same must be set for the mic.
 
It ended up being a bad USB port on the 1120e phone, replaced phone and it worked.
