Can anyone tell me how to install this product on fairly straight Solaris 8 system? I'm needing to run the javaplugin.so in my netscape to run a network management application. I read the instructions at java.sun.com but they were too vague for me. My netscape is installed in /usr/dt/bin from the original Solaris 8 setup. Do I also need to download and install the j2se version of the patch files? I did try to copy the .so module to /usr/dt/bin then ran a "setenv NPX_PLUGIN_PATH /usr/dt/bin" to see if that'd help but it didn't allow my app to run. I am only interested in getting netscape plugins to work for this, not development work taking place. Am I supposed to install the j2se someplace in my PATH ???? Any guidelines, pointers to documentation etc greatly appreciated. Thanks.
