Hello friends
I have a little problem over here.

I downloaded j2eesdk-1_4-linux.bin I tried this command on my machine which have Fedora Core 3 installed

./j2eesdk-1_4-linux.bin

this launch the script but appears a text: "Deleting temporary files..."

and after that, the system breaks down, I have to restart my computer because Ctrl+c do not work.

I don't know what is the problem?

Can anyone help me?

Thank You.

Are you doing this in a Windowed environment? Try starting the system in Runlevel 3 or single user mode and see if you can get it to install.

Try to write down any error messages that occur. You may want to launch it with a '2 > j2ee_install_errors' after the command so that you can capture any error messages into a file.

Thank You pansophic.

Yes I was trying in runlevel 3 but this was my problem: I have the program in a CD, then I copied the program into my /home/doyourememberlove directory and ran from it.

Then I tried to run from the disc and it was installed without problem, I do not understand why because I had tried this with another program of course and appeared a text error: not enough space.

But with j2ee there was no problem.

Do you have an explanation? because I am confused.

What kind of space do you have available in your /home partition? Is it possible that having the j2ee install binary in your /home partition pushed you over your limit?

I assume that you were trying to install this as root?

Do a df to see how much space is left in each of your partitions.
