J2EE Getting Started with JBuilder5

I am a newbie here. I have to develop a servlet that uses the SOAP Protocoll to access a Database of semi-colon separated data, generate XML Messages... I have JBuilder5 at my disposal. Can someone give me any "Getting started" Tips. Has anyone done that b4. Please give me hint of the first thing to do. I tried to go through the J2EE Tutorials from sun Microsystems but I can't configure the tools J2EE,JSDK, ANT...
Help help halp....
