We want to implement the J179 phones as SIP end points. What do the scope strings look like when setting these phones up as SIP end points? This is our first time in doing this and we do not know what those scope strings would look like. I am assuming it would still be the option 242 DHCP settings. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Scope strings are the aame as settings file parameters. If you don't want many special settings on a H323 phone, the MCIPADD is enough and it'll use whatever CM knows about.

For SIP, especially for J, you'd need to SET SIP_CONTROLLER_LIST and probably SET_TRUSTCERTS to tell it what certificates to download from the HTTP server and trust

And if you need to SET TRUSTCERTS, then you need to SET HTTPSRVR to know where to download the certs

And if you SET HTTPSRVR, the phone'll just ask for 46xxsettings.txt and anything you do in a DHCP string you can do in 46xxsettings.txt

So, at a minimum, all you need is SET HTTPSRVR
