J179 H323 to SIP firmware conversion - IPO 11.1 1

Hi

I am running IPO Virtualized Server Edition, 11.1

I have some J179 phones which I have had on the system for three years running H323, and 1 new J179 running SIP. That phone upgraded itself when connected to my system via J100Supgrade.txt to FW_S_J179_R4_0_6_0_8.bin.

The autogenerated J100Supgrade.txt is below. 46xxsettings.txt is attached text file

My Question is, why wont the other J179s take the SIP firmware and switch from H323? The phone gets its HTTP file server address (10.17.90.220) from DHCP just like the SIP one does. But does not have a HTTPS server in the list. The SIP one uses HTTP only though and J100Supgrade.txt is available on HTTP only.

An H.323 J179 looks for a 96x1Hupgrade.txt file. You need to go in to the craft menu and change them to SIG = SIP.
