J129 Hotline ?D workaround? 1

I've recently installed my first set of J129 phones on a R10.1 system and appears that the ?D/Dial Extn short code doesn't seem to apply. Although I am able to block outside calls, I am not able to get it to automatically call the receptionist upon going offhook or furthermore prevent it from dialing other extensions. Is anyone aware of a work around since the phone doesn't actually get true dial tone until something is dialed?

Wait until next week when the J139 comes out. that will be the optimal solution...

if you go offhook and try to dial something, it will follow your ?D short code. but its not as simple as picking up the handset.

The J139 solves this as it will run the CCMS SIP just like the J169 and J179 do.
