J129 disappearing off system status

Greetings. Yesterday, we had exactly 50 J129's disappear off of system status. This investigation was launched, when our help desk recieved several calls of them being in the emergency mode status (only able to dial 911). This was spread out throughout our campus. So not just one building. We have approximately 680 j129, we were apart of the Nortel switch to IPO. We are on 10.1.0.4.0 build 7, Has anyone seen this before?
 
I forgot to mention that another 35 dropped off today

What does all of this mean? That it is not getting an IP address? the disable portion is throwing me off as well.
 
When you say dropping do you mean the user account is still there but the phone is disconnected? If so then yes we have seen that before. The only fix I am aware of I posted in where you specify the username and password of the phone in the configs. I would not say it is 100% perfect but we would lose phone for no apparent reason every day to every few days but now we may go weeks to months before seeing something and then we just reboot the phone and it always reconnects. No root cause was found :-(

We have about 300 ourselves so I am very interested in how to make them more reliable.
 
This needs an IPOSS ticket created.

Depending on the URI configuration the ICR can be completely ignored.

If your URI is configured to use internal data then the IP Office will look into the user's SIP tab and if you have *'s it will look into ICR.
