We have a site with about 1800 J100 phones and need to change the IP Office IP address. We are actually migrating the phones from one IP Office to a replacement. The site doesn't have internet access for the phones so I can't use DES, even though I doubt that would help. (Server edition Running R11.1 currently)
Phones receive the file server address via DHCP.
Have been working on this in the lab.
Attempted to update the DHCP 242 option to be the new file server. The phone takes the details sets the file server correctly but doesn't change the SIP proxy.
Add the new SIP proxy with SIP_CONTROLLER_LIST= in the 242 options, this adds it but the previous one remains (at the top of the list)
To make it wors it sometimes works, no idea why.
Only option that I can get to work reliably is to default the phone. Not going to be fun with 1800 of them.
Any ideas would be appreciated
