We have just recently switched over to IPoffice version 11.0.4.4 with all JSeries phones. We have been running into an issue specifically with the ethernet passthrough. What occurs is that we get no network from the passthrough until we physically pull the power from the phone. Looking at the computer side of things it seems like the computer is unable to get a DHCP address
Initially I thought it occurred whenever rebooting the phones either via the phone itself or through monitor. That seems to increase the likelihood of it occurring but I have found several instances of it occurring when the recent phone reboot has occurred. It seems intermittent in the severity for one or two weeks we could reproduce almost on demand but it has leveled out. Which just feels odd. Working with our partner we have tried multiple firmware versions with no luck. We have been trying to get some help from Avaya but this seems to be a shy bug and when we try to syslog the phone it will not occur.
I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar or other ideas I should be trying. While I would love to not have to rely on the passthrough due to limited network infrastructure I currently do not have much choice.
