J-159 No DTMF After Dialing

After a call has connected the J159 user is unable to dial any DTMF digits to progress through an auto attendant. 1416 digital phones on this system have no problem with this so it is only the J-Series phones. If the user presses Transfer on the J159 they can dial DTMF to transfer the call.
I have tested calls to my cell phone and pressed digits on the J159 but cannot hear any DTMF tones come through to my cell.
I have tried both 4.0 and 4.1 J-159 firmware.

Thoughts?

 
I tried various CODECs and also tried changing the DTMF options of the Extensions but none of that helped either.

 
Just completely clueless but have you tried to use a different user / extension combination?
Just create a new user and extension and test it then. I know how desperate that attempt is but other than that I have nothing.

Created a completely new User/Extension and the problem still exists.
