Hello all,

I am still trying to get IX Workplace to work with my ASBCE. I have a feeling I am close.

Some interesting things to note.

When logging into the app on cellular data, it sometimes takes 10-20 or so times of opening and closing out of IX Workplace before I finally get the green check mark.

Once it is finally logged in, incoming calls will ring in on the app, I can answer them and the audio works fine.

All outbound calls fail. The app will hang for a bit and then I get error message "Call Failed - The Operation Failed"

If I get a new voicemail. That shows up on the App. Presence works on the app.

Thoughts?

Anyone? I always seem to get the interesting issues. I have a ticket open with Avaya, they reviewed my ASBCE and the config looks good as far as they can tell.

What they mentioned was:

"I went through the traces and In the case of an outbound call from RW, the invite is sent out but there is no response from the other end. I believe this invite is not received at all by the IP Office due to the firewall rules and hence it’s unable to respond anything back. Could you please check with the network and firewall team on why they are blocking the invite and not passing it through? The reason why I believe this is on the firewall because we will get an error if there is any SIP message error but here we are not getting anything at all. The Message is not sent at all or the reply 100 Trying message is not passed to RW which is why the call is dropping."

I currently have my ASBCE Directly off the GW:

Follow up email from Avaya:

"The remote worker is reaching the SBC for registration and then to initiate call it’s sending out the invite to the IP Office that is not responding at all. Let me engage the IP Office BBE as well so we can check if the invite is reaching the IP Office at all or not. I’ll let you know about the progress."

Currently waiting on Avaya.

Just wanted to post an update. Locking the ASBCE down by Adding User Agents as well as a URI Group took my IPO from getting 1,000's of hits a day down to none. It also resolved the issue with my IPO Blacklisting my ASBCE. All is well with my IX Workplace app thus far.

Hi dsm600rr,

Can you provide a link to the document/article regarding "Locking the ASBCE down by Adding User Agents as well as a URI Group" please? Or any crib notes you have? This sounds extremely useful.

TIA

BunchOfSavages: Hopefully this helps

Just to add to this, you can roll all your IX Workplace client User Agents into a single expression and flow:
