System is a SE on 11.1 FP2/SP2.
Customer just started to use IX Workplace just for basic calling and getting voicemail, No presence. ( Not using TLS) They are getting error message "Your message may not be up to date". The app functions fine for what they want. But the error is always there. I searched this site and Avaya site and found some information as to what may cause this issue. I have tried some of solutions but no luck yet and most of those are referencing if your using ONX Portal.
They do have One X portal but, are not using it for messaging and the service is turned off.

We have checked the FQDN and DNS all seems to be fine. No second NIC on Virtual server.

Any other suggestions could be helpful. Worst case is Ill open ticket with Avaya but want to ask here 1st.

Thank you for response. They are not using Avaya Spaces for messaging. They are just using IX Workplace for a basic softphone. Get and make calls and check VM.
Could you clarify your statement? "If IPO is set to use One X Portal you have to enable it". They don't use One X portal and the service was/is turned off. I am not sure what you mean SET.

Probably a silly thing like it doesn't think you have recorded your VM greeting.... [upsidedown]

Workplace is forced to connect to OneX Portal for messaging (instant messaging). Since the service is stopped the client can’t connect to it and it shows the warning.

You have the following options.
Ignore the warning
Use Spaces
Enable OneX Portal
Try to build your own settings file and disable messaging

IP Office remote service
IP Office certificate check
CLI based call blocking
SCN fallback over PSTN

Thank You for response. I will try to enable One X portal.
By default what is the option/line in the 46xxsettings file that forces it to use One X Portal for messaging?

Set it to one setting and then use a browser to capture the autogenerated file, then repeat the other way around. Then compare the differences (says he adding it to the list to things to do himself tomorrow).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Just an update. I found the issue and wanted to pass it along. I compared two 46xxsettings files and found the customer's 46xxsetting file had this. SET ENABLE_IPO_PORTAL_MESSAGING 1. The other was set to 0. No idea why
I changed it to 0. Restarted the IX Workplace and error resolved. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks NYSTECH for the resolution
Have a pink Tuesday
