I would like to set up a super user at a remote site with the ability to publish report sets and power play cubes to the Web. We have Cognos 7 installed and I have full Cognos Admin rights. I can publish and manage server settings.
If I order them a cd for "Impromptu Web Reports Server Admin" then they will also be able to set themselves up to make changes to the server.
Do I need to make some type of executable image here that loads the software and then goes back and disables some functionality? The classes I took at Cognos repeatedly said that there are distince roles of users and it can be easily set up, but when I called Cognos they said once a person has the cd there is no way to restrict them to only publishing and referenced doc # 114131.
What gives???
Thanks.
