I have a customer/associate that has a Iwatsu Adix VS-KSU with 5 IX-12KTD-2 multi-line phones on it. They do not want to upgrade. They would like me to handle the maintenance on the system from this point out. Personally I am a Panasonic and Grandstream guy, but that's another conversation.

This system was purchase and installed over 16-17 years ago and I am well aware of the end of life it faces for finding parts, etc.... however my customer wants to keep it until it blows up. I am of the opinion that protecting the "propriatary" aspects of having the installing vendor coninue to maintain it with an extremely high hourly service rate has long past the protection point. I would not consider it if it was even 5 years old taking over through these means.

That leaves me reaching out to anyone that has the software available for programming and if needed, any specialized cable/pin-outs of special cable needed?

For the record, I am not a DYI. I am a licensed security alarm contractor with a legitimate business in West Michigan service all aspects of the alarm, cctx and communications platforms.

Thanks,

In my opinion, a system that old should be programmed through the telephone. Any programming software you find would surely not function in a modern PC. 32 vs. 64 bit processors, WIN 98/xp vs. 7/8.1/10. I suggest you download a programming/installation manual. Try for free manuals.

I have older laptops and PC's including one that is still running Win 98.

I also see I need separate software for the programming of the Voice Mail systems as well. This could be interesting......

Any help, appreciated.
