I have a customer with an IVS (or for the Ozzies amongst us an ICS120) with voicemail and they want message waiting for virtuals that appear on dterms! I know it can be done on an IVS2 using Cmd 08 de 140 but I believe you could do it on the IVS. The command isn't in the book but is in the system!

Does anyone know for certain if it is possible and if it is, is it software level dependent?

That feature was a software enhancement on the IVS2. It also is not very good, as it affects all stations primary and virtual. I set this up once and had to remove it almost immediately.

Agreed but some time back I talked about this with someone here who said they Han an IVS and I said the same as you but they claimed it worked and the command is accessible in the IVS!

Check out what version the IVS CPU software is. If it is 1900 R2 then it probably has the feature, but it's not publicized. 1900 R2 is equal to the first release of the IVS2, A1 or version 2000.

When I interrogate the system using Cmd F82 de 0 de it tells me I have (0A), CD(3600) 3.09 I can find nothing in my supporting documentation that refers to 1900 R2, The last level I have listed in my documentation is (1C), CM(4100) 3.05

Do you know which of these relates to 1900 R2?

Use command F82> 0> AA BB CC DD. EX: F82>0>19 00 02 03 = 1800 series rev 2.03
AA = 03 = 1000 series software
04 = 1000
05 = 1200
07 = 1300
0A = 1500
0F = 1600 R1
14 = 1600 R2
16 = 1700
19 = 1800
1A = 1900 R1
1B = 1900 R2
1C = 1900 R2.1
NOTE: version 850 has ROM chips and is the last version of the NEAX1400 system.

Ok so it seems we have different designations in OZ! 1C is CM(4100) highest value 3.05 so it seems there can be no assumed correlation between countries and I am on my own here! However it isn't actually my problem, I walked into this when another company sold the solution and can't get it to work. I was trying for a solution for the customer. I suppose I can only tell the customer to tell them to either make it work or pull it out and refund the cost!
