I have a (working) copy of the old IVS Matworx but when I try to use the Mach script editor the run icon stays greyed out. Anybody know how to run a script (I can schedule a script but that is a pain). I did find the trick once but due to failing memory it has gone so I know it can be done.

Reinstall?

I have never ran into this.

I have MATWorX32 13.0.4 if you need it. It isn't licensed.

Hi

Thanks for the offer but I already have that, I'm talking about MatWorx for the IVS. It was quite rare and very flakey but allowed you to run scripts.

You must be talking about the old DOS IVS MAT. I didn't think you do scrips on it. I used it for back ups and reloads. I still have a copy on ... floppy disks.

No not the Dos Mat I have that too. Many do not know that the Matworx we know and love originated on the IVS. I think it was part of a disk called Office Suite and I have a copy of it but like I say it was a bit flakey being the first attempt but you can do listups and run scripts as it also has an early version of the MACH script editor but I can't remember how to get the button to activate to run the scripts. I do have a workaround as you can schedule scripts so I just schedule them to run a minute later.

I remember it. I had a customer use it to run scheduled scripts to turn off and on ringing at night in his kids bedrooms. That was the only time I used scripting in it.

Yes it was a very flaky version but is invaluable for upgrading systems as you can list up any command you want. And if you have to work on an IVS, it is handy to have anyway! Still would like go work out the script triggering problem though!

PFD45 - I've got a copy of the 13.0.4 disk (copied by my vendor from an NEC disk) and it bombs out when McAfee claims it finds a virus in file trkassign.wrx. I'm suspecting either our vendor has a virus on their network or McAfee is giving a false positive.

It's a 71 mb file but I desperately need a clean copy - Can you help me out?

Ross

No problem Ross.
