Has anyone worked with the IVR in the BCM400 4.0? Is it any good? Is it a nightmare to set up?

If it is not good or terribly clunky, does anyone know of a good third party IVR that would be compatible with the BCM400 or the BCM450?

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

((FYI: I am looking at publishing an 800 number, pointing it at the BCM, have the IVR pick up. It will ask for their area code, then it transfers the caller to the nearest location.))

If it's only the area code you want to ask the caller i don't think you need an IVR for that. You could route the calls based on the CLID using CLID Routing Table.

Oops... so used to telephony..... I meant zip codes. As in 43,000 of them.

The customer would call in... get an auto attendant that asks them for their zip code, then transfers them off premise to the branch closest to the callers zip code.

I think I need a true IVR for this...

Thanks

Nightmare to set up, Yes!

We had to have a 3rd party program it. Sorry, do not know their name. Just adding the Keycode is unlike any other and difficult. I'd reccomend subbing it out.

Thank you for the reply. That's what I was thinking. I have another company that does all my visual call control and reporting (NO CDR!!), so I referred my customer to them.
They are supposedly going to be coming out with an IVR software June or July.

Thanks again
