Hi All,
I've been racking my head about this problem and I hope there is someone out there that can help..
My network setup is this:
Have a Cisco 3600 which handles all the routes in my network. I've been set up to the challenge of hooking up the internet to the network without touching the Cisco 3600. Every IP is static.
I bought a BEFVP41 (Linksys 4 port VPN router), I've hooked it up to a separate computer to ensure I can get out to the internet and everything works great. Now with the Linksys default setup it has a DCHP server with a 192.168.1.1 gateway, all computers set up this way on Linksys's own DHCP server have no trouble to get on the internet.. how can I hook up this router to the existing network? Someone suggested I just setup the router on the existing network using a static IP address. Well I did that I can can ping the router but I can't access the internet what so ever. I switch the router to the router function and I can't ping or touch the router, I have to reset the beast.
I'm starting to spin my wheels.. I think that Cisco router has to see the Linksys router and I have no access to that.. do you people think I'm on the right track?
Rgrds!
