I've got an odd one.

I'm making a banner and for some odd reason after I make the swf file and play it, it hits the buttons and other stuff. I was testing it and I had over 20 Emails going to my self and 20 pages all in different windows. I checked all the actions and looked at the links. Anybody have any clue what's going on? Melocco......

OK.. I took out button for the link to the site and just left the one for the mail. Now it's opening a page in html that says mailto:sam@melocco.com and opening my mail agent. ?????????? Something is wrong. I think I'm going CrAzY!@?.*&%

Sounds like your using a "getURL" action or something similar without a STOP action (ie: you're telling a page to open over and over and over again)

VERY dodgy. Consequences are that your/guest browsers may crash, as well as making your site unpopular.

I did the exact same thing once, but luckily I was just testing a page to show my partner.

Solution: stick a stop action in there!

But how can I make the button move on the banner? I've seen some banners out there that scroll the E-mail me, ICQ, and homepage all just rotating? I just wanted to have my link to my homepage and mail moving there. Do you know how I can do it dav?????? Thanks....... Melocco.....

just stick your buttons within a movie-clip(s) which are within your banner movie? Put the actions on your buttons. Should work ok.
