818 on 70-297 obtained this morning now makes me an MCSE in Windows 2003.

Thanks to everybody here over the last couple of years who has helped me with the study, information etc.

What did you think of the 297 test?

It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Using the transcender helped a lot, as the scenario and question/answer formats were identical.

Cool - that's the last one I need for my third MCSE.

Thanks.

jrbarnett,

Congtatulations! What are your future certification plans?

Wishdiak and others,

At the moment I have no future certification plans. Since posting thread468-980441 I've changed my job and am now working in a predominantly Novell environment, supporting the few standalone Microsoft based servers and applications that run on them, plus development of Access and crystal reporting systems for some of the systems and a couple of standalone Access applications.

Its taken me just over 2 years to get my MCSE with very few breaks (I started studying for the first MCPs in Feb 2004 as part of an MCSA bootcamp and passed them in July that year), so I think I need a bit of a break from studying.

Having said that, I've got more than enough on my plate at the moment at work to keep me busy, but I've now got some evenings and weekends back.

I was given advanced SQL book last year that's been sitting on my bookshelf doing nothing since then, so may get that out. I'm not aware of any generic relational database or SQL certs that could be useful for me (I'm already an MCDBA and only use Access and SQL Server 7/2000 in my current role), although if anybody knows of anything appropriate please say. Knowing the pace of change, SQL 2005 won't be coming along for a while.

I'm working in the academic sector now, and they tend to favour degrees over certs, so a masters degree would seem more appropriate in my current circumstances, whereas my former employer was in local government and they preferred the latter.
