IVE and VLAN settings on external switches

Guys

Have anybody any expereince with IVE and VLAN settings on external switch.

We want to use IVE feature on p570 server , but problem is that IVE is providing only two physical ports ( while i have around eight lpars on one vlan, while remaining on other VLAN).

Question is that how the IVE will behave with VLAN settings on the physical ports on external network switches?? is it supported or in case of use of IVE , we should not use VLAN settings on network swiches themselves??
