***I've also posted this in PC hardware - sorry about the duplicate, but didn't know where it really belonged!
I have a brand-new PC - P3 766, 256 MB RAM, NT workstation 4.0, SP5.
Since it's new, it hasn't really been put through the paces. I've been trying to run Webtrends (website reporting software) but am consistently getting errors (below). I thought maybe it was the software causing the errors, but other software I have tried also causes similar errors.
However, I am always running Domino server on this machine, and that never crashes.
I stopped running Domino server while I ran the website reporting software, but still the same errors. I am running virus protection on this machine.
The error I get is:
The instruction at 0x00ecd6a referenced memory at 0x00000010. The memory could not be "read". Sometimes, I can debug and generate a rip file, but not always. The rip file doesn't mean a whole lot to me, but will be happy to provide if someone can interpret it.
While I continue to test when I get this error, I'd appreciate any suggestions. Is this indicative of an actual memory problem? I don't think I'm having a resource problem here. Event log doesn't give me anything - just tells me Quincy has run.
TIA
Rachel
