iTunes duplicates

Not sure if this is right forum, but it concerns iTunes, running on XP.
How does one tackle the widely known problem of iTunes duplicating song list? I know you can go thru and remove each but thats hogwash IMO.
Any other tips or tricks to try?

iTunes can list just all duplicate song titles - I can't quite remember where this option is, but it is there - I've used it in the past. You still have to do the deletions manually.

yah I know about that feature, but it suxors to have delete 100's of songs one at a time. They wouldnt need the view duplicate feature if it worked.
