ITR Phone stuck at initializing

What happens if you press "Menu" while it's initializing?

If you can log in you might try going to the Maintenance menu and doing a factory reset.

It never comes to a point where you can press menu. As soon as you turn it on, it just hangs on initializing.
The system is a IPS2000

Try a factory default then set it up again. Also if you are using DHCP try a static address. I have seen defective phones do this. Try a spare phone. Also, release the MAC in CMD 1290 if it is there. One more thing, try connecting the phone at the data switch to eliminate cable issues.

belevedere and PFD45, As soon as you turn it on, it just hangs on initializing. In order to get to the menu, it has to boot up and indicate DRS connecting and then you can put in the key sequence hold, trn, * # and get into the menu. However, it never boots up to that point. any other ideas?

I don't have much experience with the ITR phones but with the ITL (DT700) you can just tap the menu button while it's booting and at a certain point it will go into the setup menu. No need to wait for it to get to "DHCP Connecting...".

But I agree with belvedere. It's probably a doorstop.

Is this a new handset or have you been upgrading firmware on the phones? It sounds like it has been interrupted during an upgrade and that will definitely brick it. If you can't break into the menu then there is no way of recovering it and all you have is a conglomerate of spare parts.
