ITMU v3 is not showing recent MS Updates

I have upgraded ITMU for SMS 2003 to version 3. When I click on software update in the SMS Admin console, I don't see any updates that came after MS07-04.

My SMS server is in Microsoft updates tool sync and the sync is schedule to run every day.

In the advertisement status of the Microsoft update Tool Sync, I see these errors (last error shows 2 weeks ago):
The program for advertisement "..." failed ("..." - "Microsoft Updates Tool Sync"). The failure description was "11459".
User context: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

The scan tool on the clients runs fine. The only problem is I am not getting the latest Microsoft Updates (anything that came after MS07-04)

I will appreciate any insight on why my SMS is not downloading the latest patches.

ITMU stores it's data in Extended Software Updates. Did you check that?

How often are you syncing? Are your clients scanning with the current cab file?

I have not checked Extended Software Update. is Extended Software Updates installed as part of ITMU.

We sync every day at 1:32 pm. As far as i can tell, all clients connecting to the server and check again available updates (the compliance column works properly).

Extended Software Update came as a mof update I believe with SMS 2003 SP1. When you view resource explorer for a machine, do you see that listed?

What service pack for SMS 2003 are you running?

I apologize it took me a while to reply. I finally fixed the issue.
I checked %systemroot%\windows\WindowsUpdate.log and saw the error message that Automatic Updates are disabled. As soon as I enabled automatic updates on my SMS server(notify but don't download), SMS ITMU was able to download the latest updates.
