First of all, see the connection between the switches as a normal connection and do your dialing plan in the switches first. Have you done that?
The ITG card should be seen as an external processor, even though it is installed in the switch.
The ITG card doesnt know anything about the programming in the switch, therefor you have to set the dial plan on the itg card according to what you have programmed in the switch.
Give us an example of what you are looking for? Is it where to set the dialing plan in the ITG or how to set it up from scratch. And SENNBACK is correct you have to set the dialing plan in MAT/OTM and then upload to the node/card. This should mimick what you have built in your PBX's.
Thanks Fellas. I was working onthis issue and my co-worker fgibson posted this for me. I figured it out today. You were right on the money. Of course, as usual the Nortel documentation was little to no help on this part of the setup.
I did find out too that the node IP and voice IP are not supposed to be the same. I don't know if this is totally correct, since that is how the Wireless ITG setup is done. On that the node, voice,TLAN address are all the same.
Make sure you set the dialplan in the ITG Node. The numbers programed in the ITG dialplan are the numbers that is going to the distant switch. If you use dialing between the two switches then the dialplan must be programed in both ITG card Node properities. If it is not then not calles will be placed across the TRUNK card.
