ItemTemplate and EditItemTemplate errors

I am trying to edit data in a datagrid from a web form to save into a database. I have found several resources that use ItemTemplate and EditItemTemplate to edit settings of the columns. When I use these two categories though, they have the wavy line underneath them and it says 'The active schema does not support the element EditItemTemplate'. The schema I have set is for IE5.

I tried doing the same code in Dreamweaver and it didn't have a problem with it. Is there something I need to load into my project in VS.net to get all of the proper functionality?
