Hi Gang,
I'd like to have a Policy that would run scheduled tasks on all of our Windows XP workstations during a specified time.

For example run disk defrag or a backup (NTBackup)
and instead of sitting down at 15 stations and configuring 15 independant scheduled tasks (or more) it would be helpful to issue a policy or policies to do this for me.

Is this possible in an SBS 2003 SP2 environment?

Not directly, no you can't GPO offers the ability to prevent the addition of tasks or to hide the scheduler, but not to create tasks.

Instead what you want to do is focus your attention at vbscript to do what you want. You can then incorporate your script in a GPO to push it out to the workstations.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
