Hi there!

We have a Red Hat Linux 5.2 Server we use this machine as our Mail server....it is possible if i change the mail user passwd with out removing it ...and how to do it? thank you for the reply that you my serve on me?

Hi,

You simply use the 'passwd' command. Logged on as the user just enter 'passwd' and it will prompt you for a new one, etc. If you don't know what it is for some reason, then change it from a root # prompt using the syntax 'passwd user' (where user is the name of the userid you want to change the password of.

Or did you mean to somehow let remote mailbox users change their own passwords ?
