Hello,

Has anyone experience any issues with leading comments in a command within Crystal reports 2013. If the comments are in the middle or end it works too.

It only errors out when you are connecting from a 12c client to any other version using an ODBC connection. When we use Oracle server it works just fine. 11g connecting to a 12c database using ODBC works fine too.

Also, the only comments that are having this issue are range comments (/*test*/) or comments with -- that has multiple lines.

Thanks,
Sk

I have had problems with /* comment statements in ODBC (not with Oracle 12c, but with DB2 and Vertica).
Instead, I use the double hyphen --

I don't know why the slash-star comments act that way, but I know that switching to double hyphen resolves the problem.
