In IE you can type in a url in the following format to bypass the username/password dialog for protected directories.
I wanted to use this in a little Flash app to access hidden code/swf files, using this format for the url in loadMovie(...)
Interestingly, if you publish the fla to HTML and load it in IE, this works.
But if you run it from Flash Player it doesn't. :-(
Does anyone understand this discrepancy? And perhaps know how to tweak Flash to get it to work both ways? Can anyone check this in Netscape or AOL to see if it's exclusive to IE?
