Issues with Gmail account

Hello,

I'm unable to send/receive mails via Microsoft Outlook/Live Mail and I'm getting this error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (lavash18) account. The email server returned an error.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: * OK Gimap ready for requests from 84.75.48.224 v20mb25591877ljv
Server: 'imap.gmail.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC90
Protocol: POP3
Port: 993
Secure(SSL): Yes

I've already changed my password and reconfigured mail settings. Without success!

I don't do Gmail, but it appears that you are connecting to an IMAP server but trying to use the POP3 protocol.

imap.gmail.com and pop.gmail.com map to the same IP so it does not matter what DNS name is used.

However:

A you are using the wrong port number, Secure POP3 mail is handled on port 995 not 993 which is the Secure IMAP port.
Also. Have you configured Gmail's security setting to "allow insecure applications" to connect?
