Hi there, any help on this one would be appreciated, I've been going around in circles for that last 4 weeks (maybe longer - time means nothing anymore)
I have been passed the duty of maintaining the SMS servers that were installed (a bodge job) by an employee who no longers works with us. The site was in a mess so I stripped it out using the uninstall feature in the SMS setup process. It seems to have left traces of itself through out our network. :S The main issue is the traces that it seems to have left on our Domain Controllers, and I am unable to remove these, or find any information of anyone with a similar issue.
I decided to start again and, in the process, decided that changing out Site Name from RDG to ING would be a good idea so I could trace where the problem accounts etc. are.
We have 3 domain controllers here and we are running one SMS server for our site (500 or so workstations, about 120 servers - currently) Currently only one of our domain controllers reports (in SMS Service Manager) that it's SMS_NT_LOGON_DISCOVERY_AGENT is working. the other 2 report "error communicating with device". I am pretty sure that this is the route of our problem with only 60% of clients being discovered and only 10% of them receiving the SMS Client installation correctly.
Any clues on how to remove/re-add the correct information to the DC's, and clean out the old services and remenants of the old installed site (RDG)?
Cheers
Daniel
