We have a citrix metaframe 1.8 environment running on a windows 2000 server with 15 citrix licenses(activated). All clients are windows XP professional, Recently we have encountered some problems when we tried to add a new client. The CAL is issued to the client, however when the same client tries to reconnect after logging off the server log generates event id 1004 'terminal server is unable to issue a client license'. The existing clients have no issues with logons .Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you running Win2kSP2? If so, have you installed the TS Licensing Post Service Pack 2 Hot-Fix?
