I'm sorry if this has been addressed before, I did search and found similar issues but not quite the same.

We have 3300 MXe (4.1 SP1) with an AA front end with 3 simple options. The final option (number 3, probably not relivent) passes calls to reception where they are answered. If reception then transfer to a DN that is busy or has Call FWD 6000 (voicemail) Instead of getting the users voicemail, they get the "Thank you for calling, if you have a touch tone phone......"

This seems like a fairly striaght forward issue, so I need to have my head checked or I'm having a rookie moment.

The voicemail is seeing the switchboard as the forwarding party and since there will not be a voicemail box for the DN of the console you get the AA. Check you COS options for the console.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

dryaquaman - no it is not.

Lou, this isn't an attendant console. Call comes out of the AA and hits a ring group, which this person is part of (as well as a few others) The phone is a 5340.

I suspect that you have a Nametag Hunt group in the mix prior to getting to the switchboard.

If using Nametag Groups you must make sure they are the last stop.

KwbMitel. The hunt group for the AA is a NameTag, so I probably need to change that to Voice for it to work. However doing that causes me other issues (call routing for night VM), which I need to address. This group is none prime, the prime called number is routed from a key appearance which was done for various reasons that are not required now. I think it would be better using a speedcall or a huntgroup to frontend the prime number, but I can't remove the key appearance because I get the following error "Users are associated with this Hosted Service

I use non-prime keys all the time for various reasons. Can you give a better picture as to why you need a nametag group in the mix for Night VM. There may be other methods that are less problematic.

Just for routing purposes, so that during the night we can route to night vm and during the day it goes to AA. Using NameTag huntgroups is a good way of re-writing the originating number that is sent to the VM.

But do you have to use nametag for the Day - AA portion?

If not, remove it and you should be ok.

There are also other methods other than using Nametag Groups that can accomplish the same task without the issues.
