I'm having issues purging sales details for the year of 2012. I've set the history to 20 days on all the classes and have been able to purge/clear details from 01/01/2012-10/20/2012. However I can't clear sales detail from 10/20/2012 - present. Furthermore my grand total net sales are still showing on my reprts from 10/20/2012 - present. How do I clear all remaining sales information to December? It looks like its holding the last 90 days? I need to clear all sales detail as to many individuals have access to the computer.

Any help is much appreciated!

Yes....Im looking to clear all the totals.

Thanks

Go to the control panel, and put the system in database mode. Then, open configurator. In the tool bar, click Totals, and then Clear All Totals.

As a warning, this clears ALL of the totals; sales totals, labor totals, and tms totals. You can select only to clear Sales Totals under the same menu if that is what you want.
Don't do this while the system needs to be used though because putting the system into Database modes gives you a nice System Closed message on all of your workstation.
Once you clear the totals, I highly recommend going to System -> Restaurant and setting the Auto Start Level to database. Then, turn off the system in Control Panel and restart the computer once you have all Rex X's. Once the system is back up, go back into configurator, then System->Restaurant and set Auto Start Level back to Front of House. I've found that Micros can be a bit temperamental when you clear totals and then restart straight back into Front of House. Once you've done that, and if you have the time/know how, I also recommend opening the Database utility and doing a rebuild to clean things up, but again, this can cause things to break, so unless you have time and technical knowledge, I'd just leave it alone.

Thanks Moregelen.

it appears it will only allow me to clear tms totals. The other options are not highlighted and are grey...therefore it can't be selected. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Check your employee class privilege's Must be set to allow "clear all totals

If you don't and can't edit it, you can always sign into dbisql and manually change it.

The column you would have to change is in micros.emp_class_def and is ob_spriv05_clear_all_totals.

so, if you are class named 'Manager', just run

UPDATE micros.emp_class_def SET ob_spriv05_clear_all_totals = 'T' WHERE name LIKE '%manager%'

The dbisql username and password are both custom, and the database you select is called Micros
