Hello friends.
I recently began working toward implementing a new Exchange 2007 server here at the office. We have many different types of client machines including MACs, Win2k, XP, and Vista. Outlook versions vary from 2002 SP3 to 2007.
Everyone in the building has been using a POP account that is connected to our webmail account. We recently set up this new Exchange server, and have set up mailboxes for all users in the building. I successfully made my own account and can access my exchange mailbox. It seems to work flawlessly. When I attempted to set up a few of the users, I have been unsuccessful with every one of them. I can create the actual account with little problems, but when the user closes outlook and attempts to open it again the next day or whenever, it claims that it either A) Cannot connect to Microsoft Exchange Server, or B) Can't find the mailbox location, in spite of it seemingly working only minutes before. This same process seems to happen with every user.
Now, some things to make note of are the fact that this new Exchange server is in fact the PDC for our new namespace. All users are currently still in our old domain until we fully migrate. To prevent any possible issues, we have created a trust between the domains and meticulously nit-picked our dns config to ensure it was correct. We are all talking, pinging by fqdn/ips and everything is seemingly as it should be, however outlook just does not want to work with me here.
The weird thing is that I can create an account on my machine, regardless of the user, but their machines do not seem to work the same way. I'm guessing this is an authentication issue? I am nearly out of ideas and am gettin frustrated with this as it is a new job and I really don't want to lose my position. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
