Issue with VM pro dialing extension from 3 digit to 4 digit 1

Hello everyone,

(IPO R9.1 latest release with VMpro)

I have an issue with a customer that have 3 digit extension before we change for IPO ( 3XX ) and now he have 4 digit extn on the IPO( 3XXX )

I have an option 3 in my AA menu that is going to a menu test with ??? and a timeout of 3 sec. for the system to redirect either to the caller that dial option 3 or full new extension with the 4 full digit. That is working perfectly.

My problem is when the client dont listen to the new menu and keep dialing the 3 digits extension like in the old system. I thought that if i put an invalid in that menu that the vm will redirect the caller to main menu but doesn't work because the vm is waiting for the timeout and then transfert to the extension that have the option 3.

Any one have a hint to make this want fix easily?

I could say that i patch it temporary with many routing digit in that 3 menu but it's such a pain to program and want to know if there is an easier way to do it.

If the new 4 digits all start with 3xxx, then keep ??? in the menu and in the transfer action destination put in 3$KEY.

No because when the caller press the first 3 in main menu, they will be transfert to the option menu where my ??? and timeout are program.
 
You lost me there.

Your extn are all 3xxx, caller start by pressing 3, getting to the next menu (???), and finally the Transfer where "3" and $KEY are merged.

(I take it for granted you expanded in front of the existing 3 digits extn number, not after)

It could help if you provided the full range of extn numbers Example: 3001-3999 or 3300-3399, and so on
