I have 8 of these shortcodes in the ranges from #600-#607. They have worked in the past but they stopped working about 2 weeks ago. When the shortcode string is dialed completely the display shows "unobtainable". I looked for conflicts with similiar extensions, found none. I used shortcode #700 instead of #600 just for kicks and it worked fine. That tells me that theres some kind of conflict with the shortcode itself?...anyone have any ideas as far as where this conflict lies? Thanks for the help!

have you deleted it and put it back?

are you sure nothing has changed?

Yes, I have deleted them and then added them back in. The customer did some rearranging of employees at the site last week, but apparently as I'm told, the problem began before all of that..

I was just advised that sometimes # shortcodes have nonspecific issues.

This company was using system speed dial shortcodes with # in front for some time now. How would it work before and not now??

Why do you have a # at the end of the telephone number?

The system recognizes that its the end of a dialed sequence, so it calls out faster.

that wouldnt apply with a shortcode though would it?

The system will start dialing as soon as it matches #600

Indeed, it is not required in the shortcode :)

Interesting...I will remove them and see what happens thanks!

This worked! Interesting that it use to work previously...but then again, its according to the customer.

Just FYI. Adding a # to the telephone number would actually send a # to the phone company as part of the telephone number dialed.
