Hi, really need a bit of help on this one.
I am using 2008 and am creating a report using the report wizard and am having problems when I try and run the project the report sits in.
I am using a stored procedure to populate the report and if you preview the data it is there, however when you run the report in a report viewer it does not return any results, and the report is blank.
The stored proc is simple so I changed it to a table view and I got the results so the actual report set up is okay.
Am I missing anything ?
Jacqui.

do you get an error message when running the report in the report server?

Are you using a shared data source and if so are the credentials different to those you are usingin the project itself?

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
No errors shown and if I preview the data it is there all nice :).
Something I have discovered is that if I log on to profiler and run it, when I run the report it doesn't seem to run any sql !!!
However like I said if I use a table or view as the datasource it is all okay.

Hi,
It is sorted now and here is what the problem was.
I had created it using the wizard and it had not set up a tableadapter to load the data into the report.
I had to add one and use the fill method. Hey presto all good :).
