If anyone can help or direct me to a previous forum discussion, it would be greatly appreciated. I searched myself and found the relevant post from 2004, but there were no replies before it was closed.
We have a user who accesses a VP's mailbox. All of the relevant permissions are set (Editor), Folder Visible is checked in the VP's delegate permission settings for the affected folders. The user is able to open the folders using File/Open/Other User's Folder, but needs access to other subfolders not offered in that process. The problem is that the user added the VP's mailbox to her folder list but is getting the error message "Unable to expand the folder. The set of folders could not be opened. The operation failed." when she tries to expand the mailbox. We removed the mailbox, restarted Outlook (2000), added the mailbox, and got the same error.
We're using Exchange 5.5 with Active Directory, both the user and the VP are using Outlook 2000. Could the problem be with the user's mailbox? The VP's mailbox? Exchange? Active Directory? Please help.
